More Detroit Voting "Irregularities": 95 Poll Books "Missing" For Days; 5 Still Nowhere To Be Found
Zero Hedge ^

Posted on 12/16/2016 5:14:15 AM PST by TigerClaws

Last night we noted that Team Hillary, which was supportive of Jill Stein's recount efforts, should be careful what they wish for. New data released yesterday revealed that voting machines in 37% of all Detroit precincts, which skew heavily democratic, registered more votes than they had of actual voters showing up at the polls. The scale of the "voting irregularities" discovered prompted an automatic vote audit by the Michigan Secretary of State, Ruth Johnson.

Today, we learn from the Detroit News, to our "complete surprise," that the "voting irregularity" rabbit hole in Detroit is a bit deeper than initially thought. According to a memo penned by Wayne County election officials, 95 of the 662 precincts in Wayne County waited several days before delivering their poll books to canvassers and 5 of those poll books are still "missing" even today.

Detroit elections officials waited several days to deliver nearly 100 poll books to Wayne County officials charged with certifying the presidential election, newly released documents show.

County clerk officials on Thursday released a memo to State Elections Director Chris Thomas that said 95 poll books from the 662 precincts weren’t available at the start of the canvass, which began the day after the Nov. 8 election. Five of those poll books, which contain the names of voters and ensure the integrity of elections, were never delivered to county canvassers and presumably remain missing.

The revelation comes atop other irregularities that have prompted a state audit. Among other issues, The Detroit News reported this week that voting machines registered more votes than they should have in one-third of all city precincts.

“I’m not happy with how Detroit handled this election at all,” said Krista Hartounian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers, which certified the election.

“We had been seeing improvement, but this one was different. This one was off.”

Meanwhile, many of the precincts that actually did deliver their poll books in a timely fashion breached official state laws by either not delivering them in sealed envelopes and/or omitting "seal numbers from ballot boxes."

There’s nobody and nothing to prosecute. There may be laws and set procedures for handling voting material, but we’ve developed a culture where nobody who works for the apparatus is ever held accountable — unless they need to eat one of their own.

Exactly. I think if the Republican nominee was anybody but Trump, Hillary would have won in the most corrupt way.

Trump is not one you want to mess with, in my opinion.

We finally elected someone who is not afraid to take these cheaters on.

Let's deduct the number of votes for all candidates from those precincts that show irregularity. That will lower HRC’s total votes by...A LOT.... and then she can't say she won the popular vote. That will take a lot of wind out of her sails.

Exotic cars can have gas guzzler tax charges of over $7000. Around $1000 is the low end. It doesn’t apply to trucks and SUVs, which contributes to their popularity. The tax is listed on new car window stickers.

I believe some cars marketed as crossovers or SUVs are technically cars and subject to the tax.

High tech has reduced drastically the number of hot cars subject to the tax.

Chevy is going to (or already has) release a 900 HP Camaro. Dodge is selling a 700 HP car. Mustang V8’s come from the factory with 435 HP from a 5.0 liter engine. The muscle car has been back, for a while.

My first car, back in the late 70’s, was a 4-door 1969 Chevy Caprice L72. Literally only driven to church on Sundays by our elderly neighbors. It looked all docile compared to the other muscle cars in our neighborhood, but under the hood was Chevy’s “secret” engine: a 427 four-barrel with 425 HP. We called it Moby Dick. That thing was a beast.

See what you get after 60 years of Democrat rule.

Cook county is no different.

Right Mr. Daley? Pick one.

Well, the difference between this elections and previous ones is that you've actually been audited on your results.

This has been going on all of my 55 years. Now that it's news what's different? Easy. Donald Trump. Republicans were content to let Detroit decide Senate an Presidential races and they all, Democrat and Republican, took full advantage of the "wink wink nod nod" agreement.

Donald Trump has said "What, Detroit is cheating...STOP THAT NOW".

I propose a Untouchables/Elliot Ness judge solution to the fraud. Have Wayne County switch election offials, canvass board and poll workers with those in Macomb county. The have the governor order MI Guard to keep order and watch ballot custody on election day. Michigan stays red for a generation.

Voter ID won’t fix all issues. But making voter fraud a treasonabe offense and prosecuting it accordingly would come close.
>

Don’t think I’d go THAT far. A hefty fine and a healthy length of hard manual labor ought to do the trick though (for each infraction and in a ‘progressive’ build-up...of course :P)

What we need are:
Kill ‘early’ voting.
Voter ID.
Paper ballots.
Chain of custody of all materials.
Custodians held personally responsible for all materials and totals.
Random and frequent audits during the process.

People who commit federal election fraud are attempting to overthrow a duly elected government and are harming the republic. That’s treason.

There were a couple of prosecutions for vote fraud announced just prior to the elections... Excellent idea to decrease voter fraud.
