Yeah, yeah. Don't count on it.

I'm fairly certain we were being told the same thing after we elected George W. Bush.

2 years later, we lost The House and Senate.

Don't rest on your laurels, FRiends. It's pedal to the metal at all times.

That's how the Libturds operate.

We need to hold President Trump's feet to fire when the time calls for it and we need to help him advance his agenda when the time calls for it.

I know for the most part I'm preaching to the choir but I still think it's worth remembering.

We need to dump the Free Traitors™ from the Republican Party or the Reagan Democrats will bolt. I'll trade free traders for Reagan Democrats any day since the later out numbers the former by 10:1.

The Republican Party did not learn this lesson - yet.

That is my fear as well. For eight wonderful years Reagan got this ship turned around, but it only took four years for Bush to hand the wheel right back over to the Dems. We need to keep on the RINOs and keep on them hard.

That was Bush.

This is Trump.

Two different animals.

There really is nothing to compare Trump to.

There may be similarities perceived , but President Trump is an entirely different man, an entirely different President.

He has never been misunderstood because he has spoken plainly with conclusive assurance that there is no mistaking his intentions.

He came in as a businessman, is appointing like a CEO and understands the business of America.

Referring to The USA as a corporation or a business is not something new, and every President I have ever known practiced CEOmanship ..... some to the good, some to the bad, but all nations have been in business since the Tower of Babel.

You are historically inaccurate.

(R)'s gained in the 2002 off year elections and overcame Jumpin' Jim Jefford's defection to (I) in 2001, which forced the Senate leadership power share agreement with (D)'s.

(R)'s ran the House and Senate, spent $ like (D)'s under "compassionate conservative" Bush, and lost both House and Senate in the 2006 elections.

If (R)'s don't make that same mistake again (and I am reasonably sure we can avoid it with this new crop of conservatives, and with leadership from Trump's conservative Budget Office picks like Mulvaney), we will own the power US Gov't for a long time.

Bush (either of them) had no interest in change, they wanted DC status quo.

You are wrong. In George W. Bush’s first midterm elections in 2002, Republicans gained seats in both the House and Senate. That was the first time since FDR’s first midterm election that the president’s party gained seats. Republicans also gained in W’s reelection in 2004. It was the second midterm in 2006 that was so disastrous.

In 2008 Republicans lost more House and Senate seats when Obama was elected. In 2010 Republicans regained the House.

Around 1966-7 the Democrats had over 60 Senate seats and a heavy majority in the House. Goldwater had been clobbered in the prior election and Republicans were referred to as a permanent minority party.

That lasted until 1968.

Americans have a history of swinging the pendulum. The further it swings in one direction the harder they swing it back.

Bump. Credit where credit is due. The FReepin' Libs move the ball down the field. Speaking of which, the day the Libs get the House, Senate and White House (may that be 100 years from now), they WILL pass a massive amnesty bill. If Obama and company had done that back in 2009-2010, it would be President elect Hillary and a permanent Dem president until the last swirl in the toilet of oblivion.

Not so.

>> “2 years later, we lost The House and Senate.” <<

Again, not so.

That didn’t happen until ‘06.

That was what caused the crash.
