Threatening to murder someone and their family is not political speech, crude or otherwise.

See Watts v. United States. #FirstAmendment

I honestly don't think that law enforcement should do anything based on allegations made in media interviews. If the Electors would like law enforcement to do something, they should report the alleged threats to law enforcement.

It’s gone far beyond threats made in media interviews.

Many electors have reported getting threatening telephone calls, e-mails, letters, etc.

Why all of them don’t report the threats to the local police is beyond me. Maybe they don’t want their complaint to the local police to appear in their local newspapers. I don’t know.
