Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger says President-elect Donald Trump could go down as one of the most consequential presidents in history due to the radical shift he represents from the established world order.
“I believe he has the possibility of going down in history as a very considerable president,” Mr. Kissinger said in an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” He said the power vacuum left by America’s withdrawal from the international stage under President Obama gives Mr. Trump the chance to craft a lasting foreign policy that breaks significantly from the status quo.
“Here is a new president who is asking a lot of unfamiliar questions, and because of the combination of the partial vacuum and the new questions, one could imagine that something remarkable and new emerges out of it,” Mr. Kissinger said. “I’m not saying it will; I’m saying it’s an extraordinary opportunity.”

He’s just creating an alibi for himself and the Rockefellers. I don’t trust this guy. Not after what he did to Aldo Moro, the Italian Prime Minister in the 70s (considered the JFK of Italy).
Both Kissinger and Dole are combat veterans (of WW II, no less). I wonder if that has something to do with it.
I just wish never to hear from him again. And any reassurances from his quarter are frankly disturbing and distressing. I believe mr Trump will set us on a far far better and more moral course.

I don’t agree with all Kissinger is reputed to have worked for or advocated, but I’m fully impressed by his wisdom and his vitality. I’ll bet he doesn’t even go to the gym, yet here he is, still a kingmaker.
I have mixed emotions regarding Kissinger at least leaving open the possibility that Trump can be not just a good President but an historic, great one.
On the one hand, he’s had a hand in many things leading to the creation of this burgeoning globalist state and all that comes with it.
On the other, he’s an elder statesman and he’s no idiot whether you or I agreed with everything he’s done or attempted to do, or not. He’ll help bring along some people who need help being brought along, by speaking out in this manner.
There’s enough opposition from frantic leftists, government workers, China importers whose oxes are getting gored and military-industrial neocons. He’s doing Trump a favor, by helping to smooth the way and by blunting real and potential critics.
Well plug your ears, I hope he’s around til he’s 100 or more. One of the most intelligent and impactful men of our time, a man of the caliber of the Founders or our great military leaders. In other words, one serious dude, and praise and recognition from him are not to be marginalized. When he speaks, people listen.

I am far more comfortable with good words from Kissinger than from the eugenicist, Bill Gates.
On top of that, his words are very interesting. When he says Obama has been a Zero on the world stage . . . well, I can’t help but give strong consideration to the assessment.
Frankly, I would love to see a place for him in the Trump pantheon. He would lend a huge amount of gravitas, and I think it would be fantastic to have a person of his age and experience in the decision councils . . . someone who isn’t worrying about what he will be when he grows up.
No more foreign wars (unless the USA is attacked), and no more "Foreign Aid."

Kissinger underwent basic training at Camp Croft in Spartanburg, South Carolina. On June 19, 1943, while stationed in South Carolina, at the age of 20 years, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen. The army sent him to study engineering at Lafayette College, Pennsylvania, but the program was cancelled, and Kissinger was reassigned to the 84th Infantry Division. There, he made the acquaintance of Fritz Kraemer, a fellow immigrant from Germany who noted Kissinger’s fluency in German and his intellect, and arranged for him to be assigned to the military intelligence section of the division. Kissinger saw combat with the division, and volunteered for hazardous intelligence duties during the Battle of the Bulge.
During the American advance into Germany, Kissinger, only a private, was put in charge of the administration of the city of Krefeld, owing to a lack of German speakers on the division’s intelligence staff. Within eight days he had established a civilian administration. Kissinger was then reassigned to the Counter Intelligence Corps, with the rank of sergeant. He was given charge of a team in Hanover assigned to tracking down Gestapo officers and other saboteurs, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star. In June 1945, Kissinger was made commandant of the Bensheim metro CIC detachment, Bergstrasse district of Hesse, with responsibility for de-Nazification of the district. Although he possessed absolute authority and powers of arrest, Kissinger took care to avoid abuses against the local population by his command.
In 1946, Kissinger was reassigned to teach at the European Command Intelligence School at Camp King, continuing to serve in this role as a civilian employee following his separation from the army.
