The terrible thing is, although this lady went a overboard, I kind of agree.
Too many of my family are not saved and not quite right, and if my child was uncomfortable I would not force the issue.
Trying to soothe ruffled feathers might be rough, but the loss of innocence of the child is far rougher.
When my now 98 year old mother moved from NJ to an assisted living facility here in MA. my then 4 year old grandson balked at giving her a kiss. He declared “I don’t kiss old people”.
Now I’m the old person and he has no problem kissing me but he’s now a teenage.
