I dont know if it cost us the governorship, or if it was the toll road issue that did, but we did lose it. This move by the Charlotte Town Council just shows that it was all about politics all along. This deal has been on the table for months, and they wait until McCrory loses to do the deal. Really saddened that McCrory didn’t win because although he was a moderate in Charlotte and I didnt vote for him in the primaries 4 years back, he exceeded ALL my expectations for him. He road the conservative rail, although I’m sure a VERY conservative House/Senate helped that.
Roy will be the weakest governor in the US anyway. R’s have SUPERMajorities in both houses. He just gets to sit there and watch things become law without his signature!

Because there is no reason why Charlotte can’t reverse themselves or Asheville or Raleigh pass a bill that says otherwise. With a dumblecrat governor, its doubtful the legislature can pass another bill again. MAYBE they could overide a veto.

The bathroom “bill” was never necessary. It was McCrory answering the City of Charlotte’s ordinance saying drag queens can go in whatever bathroom they wanted. McCrory did the right thing when he signed it but the queer-crazied NCAA and ESPN jumped right on it and started pulling ball games out of the state. I think it was the biggest reason McCrory was not reelected. Now the bill will be repealed the state will go back to the way it was before. Men and women bathrooms. If a store wants to build a “gender neutral” bathroom so be it. If a pervert is caught in the women’s bathroom he gets the hell beat out of him and arrested. The creep democrat governor has been stripped of what little power he had by the republican dominated legislature. They can veto anything fag loving Cooper puts in front of them.
