A deal to undo the North Carolina law known as the "bathroom bill" fell apart Wednesday night when legislators couldn't agree on a plan to repeal the measure, a sign of the bitter political divide within the state. The North Carolina General Assembly was called into a special session about nine months after they passed the law, which tarnished the state's national image as major corporations decided to pull up stakes, entertainers canceled concerts and the NCAA and ACC moved sporting events away. The wide-ranging law's best-known provision required transgender people to use restrooms in many public buildings corresponding to the sex on their birth certificates. Opponents of the law called it discriminatory.

This is one of those hills to die on. McCrory should have told all these entertainers and the NCAA to get bent; until you allow freaks in makeup and women’s clothing to use women’s bathrooms at your concerts or college basketball games, then I have nothing to say to you and I’m going to stand up for decency.

Good for North Carolina. In Georgia, our “GOP” governor and his Chamber of Commerce pals couldn’t even agree on a bill that would have kept our churches from being forced to host gay weddings.
The NC transgender law is plain common sense. Gender confusion is a treatable mental disorder.
More and more states will adopt common sense laws such as demonstrated by NC. Then the perverted corporations can find places for their events outside of the USA or in California or New York.
Bravo for the rural and small town representatives that would not cave to this Leftist atrocity. Two can play the boycott game, and it’s time to boycott the corporations that want to sponsor men in your little girl’s bathroom. That includes the NBA and ACC games. We used to use Pay Pal but no longer do because they were one of the companies foisting the queer agenda on the decent folks of NC.

Republicans should awaken and get smarter. McCrory should have waited To pass this Bill. And Steve Hayes said the Economic downturn never actually happened in NC. They really didn’t lose much commerce because of this Bill. But it booted McCrory. Mission accomplished. And Pace was smirking and jovial about the Republicans stupidity........
Now there's something called "gender fluid," whatever the heck that means. I would have thought that someone who bounces -- ummm...flows? -- back and forth between thinking they are male or female is certifiable. Guess I must be stuck back in the day when men were men and women were women, and queers were in the closet.
Two women claiming to be the parents of a male child is idiocy incarnate. Neither can impart a Y chromosome to the child. There is always a male involved, either directly or by artificial insemination.
Any woman claiming to be a man is also the height of idiocy, since they can never produce a Y chromosome.
Any man claiming to be a woman is again idiocy, since he will always have a Y chromosome.
“Gender fluid” means whatever they want to be from minute to minute. They can change their minds over and over again. Nothing is truth, nothing is good, nothing is concrete, including their sexual identity.
It is a very complex situation. A couple of newspaper articles don’t begin to explain it.
The city of Charlotte is run by a liberal mayor. She and her friend, a registered sex-offender, got a far-left ordinance passed by the city council. They had been warned by the state not to do it. They did and the state responded.
There is very bad blood between the liberals running Charlotte and the Republican state legislature. Add to the mix the new governor. He was the Attorney General who refused to charge the prostitute who said she was raped by the Duke lacrosse team.
NC is a target for carpetbagger, blue state infiltration and takeover. Texas is deteriorating from it as well. Florida is almost gone. How I detest those cutural liver flukes.
No it's not. You state your beliefs and let the chips fall where they be. If I was Governor then, I would have told the NCAA and entertainers to go to Hell. In fact, I would have yanked all state subsidies, police services, and blacked out the games in the state.
All to cause gender confusion in children. The first thing a four year old wants to do is to classify everything and everybody. It is when they learn language and concepts and are able to put all dogs and cats into categories. That is why the homosexuals needed to get homosexual marriage passed so they could warp children even before 5 years of age using TV/Adds and now magazines since they aren’t considered porn anymore or immoral. Children normalize whatever they see when they are young. So their morality is being flipped from Christian Worldview to the pagan, satanic worldview where people can be used as objects—as a commodity in dysfunctional, irrational, vulgar ways and it is “Good”.
2000 years of Ethics is being flipped as Satanism, a religion of sodomy and baby-killing “rights” is being normalized and Christianity is demonized and banned from the schools and public square. Completely unconstitutional.

Natural Law (male/female parents) embeds Common Sense and understanding of the only two sexes that exist. Gender “theory” and homosexuality were German 19th century constructs to destroy Reason in children and tp destroy Christianity, the only rational religion which created Age of Reason and Free Will and Indivdiualism—Natural Rights for all from God (Objective Truth).
Homosexuality forces moral relativism (irrationality) and Satanism onto children—using others in degrading irrational ways. Vice destroys cultures and makes slaves of all.
Glad you cleared that up. I heard people talking about, “gender fluid,” and thought they were referring to the puddles of excess testosterone that would accumulate under me if I stood in one place for too long.

Agreed. And the media, after all these months, has to do an honest job of appraising the economic impact. The NCAA might pull out, but that does not mean the arena and hotels are empty. Sometimes large events like that scare off more business than they represent. Take out the NCAA, and the National Association of Left Handed Deaf Plumbers will book for part of that time period for their annual conventions, and so on. You need to net out the cancellation against the replacement business. It may net out negative, it may net out positive, it may be a wash. But the media simply regurgitate some numbers form the NCAA press release, and never do any work of their own on such matters. Once you get to the actual net $ impact, you have to measure that against the value of standing up for what is right. In that context, it’s negligible.

Is a “trans woman” a guy in drag or is his plumbing been altered? I would say if you have the original equipment, you are just playing dress-up games.
If a guy has his plumbing changed, is he still a “trans woman” or is the some other term?
