I have had this exact experience . From 2 LtGen’s - USMC and one US Army Maj Gen . It’s awesome ! I have quite a collection . Coins have come to me in many different ways . The ‘secret’ hand press is the best . Thanks gentlemen !
It is a common military custom.
Commanders have unique coins made for their units, which they give out as souvenirs or rewards for a job well done. Many folks like to collect them.
