If he had a BAC of .27, he did re-markedly well in his actions. Where did you read that? Also, if he hasn’t been to trial yet, this video should have not been published.

Good for this cop. I and many others are fed up of the double standards. One rule for them and one rule for us, and this cop should be promoted, and shows there are good cops who are not corrupt.

Filipiak now faces one count of misdemeanor operating while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 or more. Filipiak registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.28 and 0.27 percent on breath tests, according to the report.

Washtenaw sheriff's lieutenant accused of 'super drunk' driving

Apparently it was 1:30 in the afternoon, and the lieutenant had an open bottle of vodka in the car. He also apparently also had a run in with the airport police in 2013, when picking his daughter up. The fact that he appeared semi OK in the video shows a real heavy duty alcohol problem. A non-alcoholic would never be able to move with a .28 BAC.

Yes I saw where it was reported in the incident report, they said it was a breathalyzer, not a blood test. Breathalyzers can be way wrong sometimes. As I said in my other post, if he has not been to trial yet, this info and video should not have been made public yet.

What the arresting officer did was commendable. However,
I wonder if there is a limit to how far this hero cop
will go. Would he arrest his own first timer mom or dad,
his partner’s or his own wife or kid or would he reach
out for a ride? As for me I might hesitate to post the
incident on social media unless I knew I would treat
my own family like anybody else.

Holy crap, this guy’s got a huge alcohol problem. He’s done this before:

http://www.washtenawwatchdogs.com/sheriff-lieutenant-brian-filipiak

On July 21, 2013, Sheriff Department’s Lieutenant Brian Filipiak drove to the Wayne County Airport to pick up his daughter but was so drunk and belligerent that his daughter refused to get into the car with him and hid in a back room of the United Airlines baggage claim office. The United Airlines employees called the Wayne Metro Airport Police to assist.

I've partied with Philly cops, most a straight up, regular guys, that are responsible and follow the rules just as much as everyone else (meaning just that). They do have that same "care free" attitude like older folks (pre police traps/waiting to catch people) when it come to certain things like having a few drinks and driving, speeding.

They would never so egregiously, break the law and/or endanger others.

Except for this one guy- he made me glad that I was armed. What he was into before becoming a cop should have kept from becoming one. I'll be thankful if I never run into him again.

Yep I could give example after example of them being like that in this county.
Never see them around here unless someone has had to call, and then they are not interested, but one cop gets his trash can stolen and we saw undercover cops, patrol cars for about a week all hanging out and patrolling here.
Another time I was with a guy who was a cop and he got pulled for speeding in another county. He was over by 15 MPH , and yet got away with it, because of who he was.
Like I said I could give a hundred examples of this, but the best one is when you see them driving and they are on their cell phones or using their computers while speeding.

Without the camera, the conversation may have been a bit different.

Good for the camera.

PS, this is one reason why most police unions are against cameras.
