I was there in the summers in the mid 70s and rode in the Black Horse Troop. Troop A, 1st Platoon, 2nd Squad. I really enjoyed the 100 mile hikes at the end of summer. Parading through the small towns was the biggest thing they saw. I showed up knowing nothing about horses and finished jumping bareback. I learned a lot while I was there.

I didn’t think I was that snotty. The Zoomies were.

I probably saw you on one of those hikes.

I lived near Leiters Ford at the time
