Sea Island holds a special place of respect in our New England family.When she was a teenager in the late 30's my mother's uncle got her a job as a waitress at The Cloisters.There were many,many stories about her time there,including one my Dad loved to tell about her memorable encounter with Queen Whilimena of the Netherlands.
About 10 years ago I visited there for the first time while driving I-95 to Orlando.Absolutely beautiful...and it played an important role in my Mom's early life.
Cool. Next time stop in and visit Oak Island, NC. Its at the SC border and there are a number of nice places. Holden Beach and others.
Georgia has St. Simons as well.
