There is no maybe about it. IF (which it probably won’t, at least not for years and further cultural and political divergence between the state and the rest of the country) and when this becomes a SERIOUS movement rather than just grousing because a Republican was elected President over their objections, we would be insane to oppose it.
I think of it like cutting off a diseased limb. Of course you don’t want to, you want to save the limb. But if that’s not possible, it’s prudent to amputate so the rot doesn’t spread.
It’s very sad. We should mourn what California has become. And fight to save it, after all only Texas and Florida gave Donald Trump more votes than Cali, but if can’t be reconciled and it’s increasingly non-American people actually wish to leave, we should bid them goodbye.
What would you think about this: Let California have a vote . Each county can make its choice. Those counties who vote to leave can, those who vote to stay remain.
