Abbas warns against moving U.S. embassy to Jerusalem

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday warned of “serious implications” if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump follows through with his election promise to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

"Moving the embassy will have serious consequences not only for the Palestinian people, but also for the legitimacy of the entire international struggle against the occupation," he told a visiting delegation from the leftist Meretz party, according to Army Radio.

At the same time, Abbas said he does not believe that Trump would actually follow through with the move.

"We are acting with patience and restraint in the face of President-elect Trump's statements," a source at the meeting quoted Abbas as saying in a conversation with Haaretz.

"We understand that things that are said during a campaign do not necessarily reflect the reality of his term. I do not believe that he will move the embassy to Jerusalem. Even he understands that this is a step with irreversible and broad significance beyond the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

Ah, Abu Mazen, involved in the 1972 Munich assassinations...

Sorry, but what does he have to do with what I posted regarding Abbas?

He is Abbas. Arabs often refer to one another as the father of their first-born son, alternatively to their given name. So his name is Abbas, and he is also “Abu Mazen,” “father of Mazen.”

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas...

Isn't Mahmoud Abbas something like eleven years into the four-year term of office that he was elected to?

Odumbo must be really jealous of the guy's chutzpah...

One might add this: Dis the Arabs ask permission before destroying Classical Western Civilization and Classical Christianity in 628-728 AD?

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the Paletinians have been offered many ways to end the fighting between themselves and Israel.
The only way they want it to end is the total destruction of Israel.
The Pali’s are the worlds leaches and should be ignored.

“Hath not a (Pali) hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? Fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer...” It won’t do. They want 1,440,000 square klix of land, and more than a pound of flesh. They’ve been offered land on the Mediterranean Coast in the Sinai, immediately adjacent to Ghaza, but they won’t take it. Something’s got to give, and it should be them. G-d knows they’ve taken more than enough.

While the Palestinians are but one of the worlds welfare cases, they are the most foolish.
They refuse reasonable conclusions to their land quest, for what they think is the whole enchilada ,the destruction of Israel.
They are but a tool for the mooselimb world.

And this warning means - what? The Palestinian Authority will again sent rockets into Israeli territory?

Weren’t they going to try to do that anyway?

And it is the PALESTINIANS who are occupying Israeli territory. The West Bank was originally accorded to the newly formed Israeli state, and it was won back in the 1967 War.

Some niggling little objection was raised regarding the settlement and development of land gained in a military conquest, according to the Geneva Conference rules. Kind of one-sided, as no combined force of Arabic or Muslim forces could prevail against the Israelis, but when Muslims take land (against opponents who are NOT Israelis), settlement rapidly follows and nobody calls for a roll-back of the settlement lands.

Abbas would be perfectly content with a no-Israel final solution. He is a good reason that a “two-state solution” is out of the question for the foreseeable future.

Abbas and his Palestinian people should be made Jordanians.

There is no rationality to Palestine sans jordan.

Trump should respond by offering a mutual defense treaty to Israel.

"Moving the embassy will have serious consequences not only for the Palestinian people, but also for the legitimacy of the entire international struggle against the occupation,"

The only "occupation" is the 1,400-year Muslim occupation of Jewish and Christian holy lands, of which the ARABS are the occupiers.

Return muslim settlements back to the EU!?

Funny, in Israel they are called settlements,
in France they are called “No Go Zones”.

They say they are acting with restraint and patience,
that means they are only sending half the number of
rockets...
