I’ve been thinking that the most efficient way to end this bureaucratic crap is to reallocate resources by transferring all but one Federal employee in the department to border control and wall building. ;-)
The cost estimate for the wall is outrageous, too.
$11.37B for 413 miles works out to $5,000 per linear foot of fence. Who do they think they are kidding ? A concrete wall 3’ thick and 50 feet tall and 20 feet below ground only requires $800 in materials per linear foot. Labor for trenching and forming is going to be over $4,000 per linear foot ?? A 50’ wide zone of razor wire at the base can’t be all that expensive, either.
Labor will cost less if the illegals are all put on chain gangs clearing ground prior to deportation. Let the Army Corps of Engineers run all the earth moving equipment and their labor is already paid for.
