It was never a good idea to ascribe motivation to a crime in terms of prosecuting it. If a man commits first-degree murder of his wife, she's dead. It doesn't matter if he did it because she was sleeping with another guy or for the insurance money or whatever. He still planned to do the deed.

By refusing to call this a "hate crime" when they have generally been the side DEMANDING hate crime legislation, they are excusing the perpetrators on the basis of their ethnicity. Which is as travesty of justice as there is apt to be.

FBI Director Comey just added another dimension to this issue by adding the element of “intent” to a crime ( or felony ).

So, Hillary should not be charged because she never INTENDED for her emails to be exposed to our enemies.

With this, one can simply say, we just wanted to torture him for fun, we never had any “hate” in our hearts...

Agreed. I've never quite understood the "hate" designation. If someone is robbed, or assaulted, a crime is committed. The motivations do not matter. If I'm robbed because the guy hasn't eaten all week, is that any different than if I'm robbed simply for being white in the wrong neighborhood? I've still been robbed, the motivations of the perpetrator don't matter.

Besides, I know, I mean I am 100%, bet-the-farm, make the statement and drop the mic, certain that if it were 4 white kids that assaulted a black guy it would be instantaneously labeled a hate crime and that assessment would never be questioned again.

Symone Sanders, currently a Democratic strategist and political commentator on CNN. Following the lead of Obama, Symone is using the rae card...making herself racist..." She’s also said the Democratic Party doesn’t “need white people leading” it right now and the election of Trump put “white supremacy into the White House.”...Ms. Sanders can claim responsibility for using the phrase White Supremacy to further her skewed notion of what constitutes a "hate Crime"....

.....that Symone is a racist is no suprise, that the woman would not see the crime for what it is....a crime of hate and calling it something else makes her also mendacious.

The determination by a Democratic Strategist of a Hate Crime is ridiculous. The “Progressive” mindset is that of victim. Since those that support Trump are not victims, but perpetrators it cannot constitute ‘Hate’ to act out against the enemy.
