Isn’t New York also the State of Evil?

No. Other more rural counties throughout New York State were predominantly for Trump in the last election. However, because of the massive concentration of liberals associated with Cornell Univesity and Ithaca College, the county overwhelmingly (percentage-wise, 68%) was more Hillary-favored than even the more populous counties such as Albany (60%, Albany city), Erie (50%, Buffalo, a toss-up), Monroe (54%, Rochester), Onondaga (60%, Syracuse), and Westchester (65%, NYC suburbs).

It was only out-paced by the core county/boroughs of New York City (Bronx=the Bronx, 89%; New New York=the city, 87%; Kings=Manhattan, 80%; and Queens=Brooklyn, 76%), which contain about 7.5 million population, that dominate the general will of most of the rest of te state and continually topple it for the Democratic electors. Look at this pictorial representation Click here), and you will see that the rest of the state was solidly red for Trump and conservatism.

Believe me, the state of my birth from the area-controlled point of view, is--and has always been--conservative in nature. Even Tompkins/Ithaca with its 100,000 population is a bare smidgen of the effect of the four or five core counties that make up the city and its suburbs. There's where the evil is concentrated, and it ought to be separated out as another state, with another capitol, such that the will of the rest of the state could have its own conservative-leaning Senators, without altering the Congressmen distribution.

In none of the counties I ever lived in was I subjected to the stultifying leftist viewpoint of those city-slickers, so please don't label the whole state as being evil as New York City, the element that put the Cuomos, Schumer, the non-native Hillary Clinton, and such as Bella Abzug, Adam Clayton Powell, and Charles Rangel in power.

I say, set off Manhattan, Long Island, Staten Island, and the Westchester and Rockland counties as a separate 51st state, and give the rest of the state (and the Second Amendment promoters) a break.

Point taken.

I was enormously impressed with NY’s commendable fight against the marriage redefinition legislation several years ago, much later than a lot of other less conservative states. It wouldn’t have fallen (by a Republican Senate, even) except for a lot of compromises and deceit on the left’s part. That R’s could hold at least one house of the legislature in a state dominated by NYC is impressive.
