Yep. I’m not going to forget that Rush was not on board either. It helps that he seems to be enthusiastically behind Trump these days, though.
I don’t know what you mean by Rush wasn’t on board.
He stayed neutral until the outcome was evident, then was most certainly on board.
I suspect he has closer ties with Trump than we will ever know.
Rush was all over the place during the primary, one day he would sound pro-Trump, the next day he would be critical of Trump and praise Cruz, I think a couple times he even sounded like he was pro-Rubio and pro-Jeb.
Rush has always been cagey when it comes to endorsing candidates in primaries, But, once the primary was over and Trump was the nominee, that gave Rush "plausible deniability" when he was criticized for not supporting Trump in the primary, Rush would just pull up the audio from one of the days he praised Trump and say, "No I wasn't! See I was with Trump all along..." (and he would have done the same if Cruz or Rubio would have won).
Perhaps that was a bit spineless, but in the end Rush has a responsibility to his advertisers to hold unto as big an audience as he can, and it wasn't good for business to alienate all the Trump or all the Cruz supporters. So he tried to play it down the middle.
Rush is another sell-out that needs to be held accountable.
I have been trying to do that too. The big butt is that my trustometer stops me from actually believing stuff like this.
Is this fake news?
