The eventual fate of most popular TV/Cable shows.
They start off with great storylines, then when ideas are exhausted or they’ve boxed them selves in as far as development goes, the go for the political messaging.
There have been quite a few shows that I watched and liked until they turned to political messaging. Then I stop watching them.
If I wanted fake news and fake opinions I would just tune into one of the cable news channels and get real fake news, not fake fake news.
“Last month there was a preview of sorts of the Homeland to come in a New York Times interview with Howard Gordon, a creator and executive producer of the show, along with Joshua Safran, creator of ABCs Quantico, and others concerned with the entertainment industrys obligation to avoid creating shows involving threats from Muslim terrorists. Mr. Safrans solution was simple: to not ever put a Muslim terrorist on our show. Mr. Gordon described himself as pretty upset about the problem, and recalled the shock of finding graffiti, spray-painted on the set in Berlin, accusing Homeland of being racist. He and showrunner Alex Gansadescribed as stunned at the chargeproceeded to hold conversations that, Mr. Gordon suggests, ultimately led to this new seasons story.”
In spite of its popularity, Downton Abbey was the same thing. First three seasons were good...but they wore their theme out. Last three seasons were made to keep actors employed and PBS afloat. By season 5, most have run out of juice.

This happens a lot. What’s interesting is they seem to know that they need to keep a lid on the left wing crap to get you drawn in. I’ll never forget, l’m watching the Sopranos and the next l know one of the wise guys starts giving someone a Lewinsky. By the end of this years Game of Throne every kingdom was run by a woman. Pretty much ever time they have to screw up every good series with PC bs
Blue Bloods is trying very hard to get off my list as well. NCIS the most popular TV Series in the world has stayed the course for the most part, the two spinoffs not so much.
Mark Harmon either had some surgery this year or they have started doing a remake with software. They ended a season a couple years ago by bring the cast into a room where they looked 20 years younger. They for sure can not go 4k with the fuzzy lenses they are using now.
