The Boston Herald ^ | 01-16-17 | Tom Shattuck

In the late 1960s, much of Martin Luther King’s work was directed at improving the conditions for black Americans, with a pragmatic approach of eradicating poverty, unemployment and the many other dead ends that hindered a path to the American Dream.

Many of those hindrances remain, and not until now, with a President Donald Trump about to take office, has there been such an opportunity to demolish the constraints that have stifled opportunity in minority neighborhoods.

He considers it a personal challenge.

Trump has had numerous conversations with prominent African-Americans since he was elected, including Steve Harvey, who said, “We’re going to team up and see if we can bring about some positive change in the inner cities, which I felt was my only agenda and he agreed. And he wants to do something.”

And he will do something.

“And he will do something. “

What? Blacks in America have been given an enormous advantage over the rest of the world and what do they do? Demand more and burn their neighborhoods down while assaulting wheelchair-bound white people. Enough.

Watch democrats try to stop him, should be interesting. Their excuse will be, “it’s not enough, so we have to vote against it.”

First step — blacks need to stop being their own worst enemies, to ditch the victim mentality that is lacking in African immigrants.

Not quite. Poor inner city blacks have been kept on the progressive plantation for the sole purpose of delivering votes. they are kept in poverty through welfare.
Their families are broken due to welfare regulations instituted by LBJ.
They are horribly educated with substandard schools.
Their communities receive inadequate municipal services such as police, housing, sanitation and representation of their needs.
Poverty as been the singular result of leftist control over inner city black populations for more than 50 years.
This tyranny over the poor must end.

MLK would have supported Trump.

The race baiting poverty pimps (Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, etc) that came after MLK don’t want to see things get better for blacks.

They don’t want anyone escaping the plantation. They profit from the plantation.

Most of the violence in black communities that the media report with glee is perpetrated by activists paid by George Soros NGOs. They are bussed in to engage in violence and turn as many local citizens into a mob as possible. The purpose is manifold, including convincing white America that these paid thugs represent black America. They do not, please do not be fooled.

I’ve been saying the same thing for years.

I will produce, and I will get others to produce,” he’s said.
Well, it mostly depends on his “get[ting] others to produce.” How he does that is unspecified, and a pig in a poke.

He’s promised public safety, “great” education, and jobs. Public safety he can in principle achieve mostly by reversing everything the Obama inJustice Department has done to the local police. That will take selling, and Obama will be community organizing in opposition.

Education, with his Ed Secretary, it looks like he’s putting his chips on charter schools.

Jobs. That is a rabbit to be pulled out of a hat.

A 30% import tariffs will repatriate millions of jobs to the USA over time.

A 30% tariff will certainly raise the price of a lot of stuff we are now importing . . .

Too sadly true. They've all spent their lives jockeying for positions of power and influence in the Democrat Party. They are useful idiots, whose only power is in delivering the black vote. They've done it for many years, but I think the bloom is finally coming off the rose. Blacks didn't come out and vote for Hillary in the same numbers as they voted for Obama, and I'm glad they didn't!
