I worked on a Sealand container ship that worked the Aleutian Islands. It was called of course the Aleutian Developer.
We spent a few days in Dutch Harbor every couple of weeks.
Stopped at several fishing villages, and home ported in Kodiak. The made regular trips (not with me) to Attu and Adak.
Adak is halfway to Erickson AFB (Shemya). It’s pretty close to Attu. I think any of the islands in the vicinity would be good candidates. Never have to worry about escapees. Lol
