Obama never sought common ground. He never wave red from his Central Planning agenda.
Many republicans would have supported conservative policies no matter who proposed them.
Obama didn’t hold meetings with the loyal opposition. If you disagreed with Obama, you were ridiculed (i.e. to McCain, ‘The election is over, John’. Putting Ryan in front row then chiding him during speech. My all time favorites, ‘Punish them at the polls’, ‘Voting is the best revenge’)

Let’s all remember what Obama said in February of 2009 when he was asked by a reporter if he would “work with the republicans in Congress even though his Party controlled both Houses.” His reply was, “The Republicans can come along for the ride but they will sit in the back of the bus”
