Hope it doesn’t overshadow Trump’s inauguration. Trump’s inauguration is a pivotal moment in American history.

Lyndon b Johnson died during nixons second inaugural period. Funeral was two days after obviously taking away from Nixon. I feel about bush senior they say I did about Carrie fisher....goners. This is not good at all for George senior. Barbara will probably make it through. George probably gone by tomorrow. So much sunshine I am bringing, but trying to be realistic.

Yes, I don’t wish ill health on the Bushes, but at the same time, they were not good for this country. HW did all he could as president to try and undo everything that RR had accomplished, and W got us in to a needless conflict in the ME and started the ball rolling on running up our debt. For those reasons, the Bushes should not be remembered as good for America.

Local TV Noon news in Houston is wall-to-wall about HW and Barbara and the flood, nary a word about Trump’s upcoming inauguration. Funny when they were talking about the flood, only one negative comment to the mayor about when he is going to deal with the problem, although I’m sure thousands of people are really tired of having their homes and cars flooded. Lots of businesses closed, people had Houston’s version of a “snow day” off.

Schools in surround areas to the north and west had delayed start or closed for the day but Houston Independent School District couldn’t get their act together. At least one school bus ended up being pulled out of flood waters. Pretty tight press lid of any negative criticism of HISD or the Mayor.
