U.S. B-2 bombers carried out air strikes against Islamic State camps outside of Sirte, Libya, on Wednesday night, killing dozens of militants, U.S. defense officials said on Thursday.
Two U.S. defense officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the strikes were carried out 28 miles (45 km) southwest of Sirte against two camps and done in cooperation with Libya's U.N.-backed Government of National Accord. They said there were no women or children in the camps.
One of the officials said initial reports showed dozens of militants were killed in the strikes with more than 100 precision guided munitions dropped.
Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook, in a statement on Thursday, confirmed the U.S. military conducted successful strikes.
"The ISIL terrorists targeted included individuals who fled to the remote desert camps from Sirte in order to reorganize, and they posed a security threat to Libya, the region, and U.S. national interests," Cook said, using an acronym for Islamic State.

This is an ugly reminder of Hillary’s hideous tenure as Secretary of State. Hillary lied to world to destroy Libya; she lied when she said Gaddafi was threatening mass murder of civilians and she lied when she said Gaddafi’s troop were mass raping women. The mass killing of civilians and mass rape of women happen after Hillary ‘liberated’ Libya.
The world will be a better and safer place because Hillary will not be President!
I agree Obama’s policies created the environment or void that ISIS filled. This Operation was a case of our guys (Intel) catching them in the open setting up shop to continue to attack Libya, North Africa, and whomever else they wanted to kill. The Libyan Government of National Accord granted permission, and several other nations cooperated to make it happen. I don’t mean to give Obama credit, but I do think the constant disparaging approach ignores the fine work of our service members when they’ve done a good job isn’t good for our own morale. I reminded of how the Democrats never could cheer for out side when we were fighting in Iraq and preferred to pitch everything in cynical and defeatist tones.

Here, I'll spell it out for you. I'm saying it is more believeable that Barky authorized a strike that killed 85 Christians and his "defense officials" SAY they killed ISIS terrorists.
You think all of DoD will lie for him and that the entire Intelligence Community, the nations of Libya and other nations all conspired to kill Christians in the desert? I see. That makes sense. Blame America first much do you?
More likely that our fine military knows the mission and that the old administration is now powerless and the incoming administration will not punish them for accomplishing it.

Even more likely that Obama “defense officials” are lying to make it look like he’s actually fighting terrorism to the last day while he’s letting terrorists out of Gitmo.
Hillary had the support of the three stooges, McCain, Graham and Rubio in that illegal action to take out Khadaffi.
It also resulted in the invasion of Europe being much worse.
I’d say I don’t blame you, but remember sometimes even a broken clock shows the correct time.
Lying is simply a given whenever “he who’s name shall not even be uttered in hushed tones hence forth” is mentioned.

Okay, you’re right. It didn’t happen. Or it did happen and they killed Christians as you say. Or whatever you imagine happened really happened, and not what I know happened and what has been reported never really happened because it doesn’t comport with your bias. I give up.
