Donald J. Trump: Immigration

Donald J. Trump’s 10 Point Plan to Put America First

1. Begin working on an impenetrable physical wall on the southern border, on day one. Mexico will pay for the wall.

2. End catch-and-release. Under a Trump administration, anyone who illegally crosses the border will be detained until they are removed out of our country.

3. Move criminal aliens out day one, in joint operations with local, state, and federal law enforcement. We will terminate the Obama administration’s deadly, non-enforcement policies that allow thousands of criminal aliens to freely roam our streets.

4. End sanctuary cities.

5. Immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties. All immigration laws will be enforced - we will triple the number of ICE agents. Anyone who enters the U.S. illegally is subject to deportation. That is what it means to have laws and to have a country.

6. Suspend the issuance of visas to any place where adequate screening cannot occur, until proven and effective vetting mechanisms can be put into place.

7. Ensure that other countries take their people back when we order them deported.

8. Ensure that a biometric entry-exit visa tracking system is fully implemented at all land, air, and sea ports.

9. Turn off the jobs and benefits magnet. Many immigrants come to the U.S. illegally in search of jobs, even though federal law prohibits the employment of illegal immigrants.

10. Reform legal immigration to serve the best interests of America and its workers, keeping immigration levels within historic norms.

President Trump won in part because of his clear stand on immigration. Day one has passed and no action is apparent. In fact, President Trump's own spokesman, chief of staff, and pending cabinet picks suggest no immediate action pending. Seriously?! Will the naysayers who claimed Trump would not act be proven right?

I have a friend who works at the local jail. He told me that, ON INAUGURATION DAY, the INS showed up and took all the illegals, including some who had been there for a few years.

So, I suspect you are misguided.

#11. Stop all federal funding to CA. They’re too reckless to give money to.

8. Ensure that a biometric entry-exit visa tracking system is fully implemented at all land, air, and sea ports.

That’s not something I will ever support.

It’s day 3. First official business day in office, and you question President Trump, when he has already done more for America and Americans then Obama did for America and Americans in eight years?

Can you post any reference material that tells that story about INS on inauguration day taking illegals into custody? If true then it is a great story.

Illegal immigration.

American jobs.

Southern border secured with a wall, and actual wall.

Trade deficit with China and Mexico.

Healthcare reform, and access for everyone.

Those are the big, big, big issues. Those are the reason that so many people voted for Trump.

Those are the reason he won.

Trump I have supported you since before you even formally declared your candidacy.

America voted for what you are going to do.

Those things matter. Very, very much.

Yes, so long as Ryan and Rinse and McConnell are around, I suspect any action on immigration will be delayed.

Ya better learn, just because you can't see something happening doesn't mean nothing is happening. And the press better get used to being the last to know in some areas.

Btw, you should give the guy a break. He's been in office a matter of hours. He's got decades of disaster and deceit to unravel.

Cant build a wall along the whole border. Impossible, unless you want to give Mexico our half of the Rio Grande. I dont.

But a hell of a lot of it can be built along the border.

Go on google earth or some other sat map and follow that border. Make sure you zoom in. You will see what I mean.

Like Jesus was able to boil down the Law and The Prophets into TWO LINES: (1.Love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul, and mind, and 2. Love your neighbor as yourself), President Trump was able to distill the immigration crisis into two lines:

1. Buy American.
2. Hire American.

TWEET TO STOP DACA AMNESTY
Author Photo
We’re starting Twitter campaign urging Trump Administration to fulfill promise
We’ve been contacted all day about whether Pres. Trump is breaking his very clear campaign promise that he would end Pres. Obama’s executive temporary amnesty called DACA (for illegal aliens who arrived here as children).

There have indeed been several very troubling indications over the last two days that cause concern. (I’ll detail them below the red Action Box for those of you who haven’t seen the news stories.)

It is important to note, however, that nobody in the Administration has said that it will NOT act to end the unconstitutional issuance of work permits to hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossers and visa overstayers whom the law says have no right to the documents.

For the moment, let’s not rely on the confusion found in the media reports. Let’s assume there is a good reason for the announced delay. But let’s make sure that Pres. Trump and his staff are absolutely clear that we back them in ending DACA. And that we fully expect them to do so.

Chris Chmielenski, our Director of Activism, will tell you what you can do inside the red Action Box.

edit Icon Tweet to stop DACA amnesty
Below, you will find several prepared Tweets that you can send. Several of the Tweets quote directly from Pres. Trump’s Inaugural address. If you already have a Twitter account, simply click on the link to send the Tweet. If you don’t have a Twitter account, and are interested in signing up for a free account, visit https://twitter.com/signup. We encourage you to create your own Tweets that include Pres. Trump’s Twitter handles — @POTUS and @realDonaldTrump.

Candidate @realDonaldTrump said he would “immediately” end #DACA — @POTUS should end it NOW!

“2 simple rules: buy American & hire American.” - @POTUS. Turn illegal #DACA off @realDonaldTrump

“Every decision...will be made to benefit American workers.” - @POTUS. Stop issuing work permits thru illegal #DACA @realDonaldTrump

“Get our people off of welfare and back to work” - @POTUS. Rescind unconstitutional #DACA executive action @realDonaldTrump

It has become clear the last two days that Pres. Trump will not end the renewals and issuance of DACA work permits “immediately” as he stated repeatedly in the campaign. And it doesn’t look like it will happen in Week One.

I’m not particularly concerned about fulfilling the literal timing of the promise. There may be some very good reasons for an initial delay. But without clarity of intent, we are left with the uncertainty created by the last two days of statements from the Administration.

1.
On “Fox News Sunday” yesterday, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was asked about the DACA amnesty. “I think we’re going to work with House and Senate leadership as well to get a long-term solution on that issue,” he said. “I’m not going to make any commitments today, but, you know, I’ve obviously foreshadowed there a little bit.”

2.
Then, today Politico reported on an interview with a government spokesman for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services who said there has been no change in the DACA program inside the bureaucracy.
“We are still accepting/processing DACA requests under existing policy.”

— USCIS spokesman Steve Blando
Politico reported that on a typical day USCIS has been processing 140 new applications and 690 renewals of previous work permits. The permits expire after two years. Most DACA recipients are getting ready for their third two-year legalization

3.
Also today, White House spokesman Sean Spicer at his first press briefing told the media that ending DACA is not a priority. The Associated Press reported its understanding of Spicer’s statements in this way:
“President Donald Trump will focus immigration enforcement efforts first on criminal immigrants in the country illegally, his administration said on Monday, offering hope to more than three-quarters of a million young immigrants protected from deportation under the Obama administration.

“Those protected from deportation under former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program have been worried that Trump would follow through on a campaign pledge to immediately end the ‘illegal amnesty.’

“While Spicer did not explicitly rule out action on the program known as DACA, his comments suggest that Trump’s initial policies will be similar to Obama’s. Spicer noted Trump has said his focus would be on immigrants in the country illegally who have a criminal record or pose a threat.”
I again repeat that neither Pres. Trump, Spicer or Priebus has said the Administration intends to keep the DACA work permit program going for any length of time. It is possible that there is a strategic reason that we would applaud for this initial delay. It is also possible factions within the new Administration are already disagreeing about immigration policy.

It is important that the citizens of America speak to the Administration with a clarity about this issue that thus far has been lacking from the Administration itself. At the very least, the Administration must stand firm with Pres. Trump’s campaign insistence that only Congress — and not a President — has the constitutional power to give an amnesty.

New Actions

What is wrong with collecting biometrics of people entering and leaving the US? Especially non-citizens?

Day 3. That is the point. Or, first business day. I'll give him this is Day 1 for official action. Anyway, I do not care at this point what Obama did or did not do and we are now going to compare/contrast Trump to Obama as an excuse, we've lost! Now-President Trump made lots of promises, Day One promises. I'm waiting and watching.
