Trump may be waiting for his cabinet members to all be confirmed before he makes any big moves on immigration. There are a few RINO’s who are against part of his policies.
Trump is slowing his role to ensure his cabinet members are confirmed. It would be different if a bulk of his cabinet has been confirmed. With the Dems slowing the confirmation process, Trump is playing it smart and waiting for his cabinet to be in place before rolling out an order that could be detrimental to his cabinet appointments.

Here is how its done.

Then, get the local law enforcement involved. If they nab illegals working at a place, the employer gets to pay a 6 thousand dollar fine for each illegal caught at that place of work. 80% or so of that fine goes to the arresting agency. Then, the guilty employer gets to pay for the deportation-proceedings and everything, including the travel expenses to send them back to their country of origin.
I am not against building a wall. Dont get me wrong. But it is simply not possible to build within that river and mountains and there is no way locals farmers and ranchers, and others, are going to stand for losing land and water rights because of illegal activities which is a result of the illegal hiring by employers in that area...many times by those very ranchers and farmers. But, if they see that it isnt in their best finacial interest to keep up that practice? Oh we’ll see them give it up very fast.
As for that river, clear out all the brush for a zone back away from it and provide military assistance to patrol it. With ROEs that say if they so much as point a water pistol at you, fire to kill. It is a war zone, no matter anyone knows it or not.
Besides that. We may want to grab a few since a good per cent are NOT Mexican, but other nationalities. What are these up to? Hell, I would send special forces into that side to investigate what the hell is going on in certain areas. I certainly would send in special forces on those areas here in AZ where there are signs out warning Americans not to enter because of cartel activity. The Josuha National monument comes to mind.

I think you are right in this, at least partially. I worry that Ryan and others are saying there will not be deportations. Further Spicer and pending cabinet picks are saying similar. Time will tell if this is strategic, waiting for the cabinet to be in place, else a change.
