While I understand your sentiment and frustration that they keep electing morons who don’t fix anything I respectfully disagree. There are American citizens there who are afraid to come out of their own house during the day or night - they deserve security.
The rats who run the town have made a mess of everything, but Obama’s DOJ did not help either with their “oversight” of the Chicago Police. This might be the most difficult problem he tackles and it will take a lot of resources.

I suppose it would be ATF to come in and take the guns from the thugs. Stop and frisk will cause outrage but that is what it takes to solve the problem. An anonymous hotline would be nice for people to turn in those whom people know are committing crime and have illegal guns.
