To: Future Snake Eater
This should be interesting, but I can’t imagine we get much harsher on them without putting our own troops on the ground. Sure, we could amp up air power, but that only has so much impact.

Well the first thing they can do is just change the rules of engagement and take the shackles off the military commanders regarding collateral damage. That would help. However to really root them out will require boots on the ground.

Which the Iraqis and Syrians are already supplying. We're also limited on the Syrian side by Russia. Then there's the nation-building piece that will inevitably rear its ugly head.
