I think we're 300 million people and if we lose a few hundred people a year to terrorists, that doesn't change who we are and it shouldn't change the fabric of our society. Frankly I think we should get used to losingas long as we're taking the stance in the world of being the military superpower, you're going to have people nipping at you. And if it's hundreds or thousandswe lose 15,000 people a year to have the right to bear arms and most people think that's a good deal, year after year. We spend 15,000 people for the right to bear arms. What do we spend to be as aggressive and heavy weight on this planet? We're always going to have terrorism."[18]

Anybody who patronizes this clown's business is paying money to undermine America and western civilization. Let the Cool-aid Drinkers who want to sip their Starbuck's in Seattle patronize this oaf. We shouldn't do it.

He's a CROBIT. You should see him fawning over moslems in Bosnia, Spain etc.

I'm OK if they start with you, Rick

I never heard of this guy and I would never patronize anything that would help him make a buck. Never!

All those Muslims holding up signs in English; not a one in Arabic or Urdu. What does that tell you?

I always detested that guy, trotting around Europe in his short-shorts, annoying everyone. You just wanted to reach through the T.V. and dump his books.
Also, while he denies it, I suspect him of Canadianism.

His production company is named “Back Door Poductions”. Hmmm I wonder why he would name it that? One can only wonder.../s

I have no problem with Steves’ traveling overseas. However, he would do well to stay permanently in one of the countries like Germany which more fit his political beliefs. Hopefully, Trump will so frustrate entertainers and other Hollywood scum that they will follow through on their plans to expatriate themselves. In the last wave of strong conservatism this country enjoyed in the 1920s, it was not uncommon for “sensitive” artists and writers to leave the country, e.g. Hemingway, Dos Passos, Pound, Josephine Baker. We can only hope history will repeat itself in the late 2010s and 2020s.

Maybe he knows his productions are sh*t.

There’s a TSA agent at SEATAC airport (Seattle) who’s a dead ringer for Rick Steves - the first thing he says is “I am not Rick Steves” - then people holler back “Hi Rick” ... guy is funny.

The wiki says he’s also an “active Lutheran.” Anybody care to comment?

A tour guide who promotes the acceptance of death and freedom. How nice.

Been in Europe too long. Time for him to retire there. Sounds like a communist or nazi philosophy, a few dead here and there is no concern.
