MICHAEL MEDVED SHOW - in drug discussion, guest goes off topic and mocks MSNBC

Too funny. A guest was talking about the dangers of various drugs on the show. One of 12 Millennial deaths is now caused by heroin.

And then for a zinger. Our brains continue to develop until about 25. Regular marijuana use dumbs down our brains. MEDVED: Should the government do something about that? GUEST: If the government were to ban everything that dumbs us down, they would have to ban MSNBC.

Legalizing marijuana just means that kids will have greater access to it. One reason I think liberals want people to grow up with stunted mental abilities is to make them look less stupid by comparison.

That’s a funny story, but I can’t imagine subjecting myself to the Michael Medved Show.

You’re taking one for the team.

I like Medved and used to listen to him a lot. His history shows and books are fantastic BUT I tired of his anti-Trump whining and the kicker was when he described Clinton apologist Lanny Davis as a close friend.

What’s revealing about Medved’s history shows is that he knew a lot of that stuff when he graduated college and yet he still chose to be something of a communist. His years of giving aid and comfort to Hanoi and working as an aid to Red Ron Dellums.

He comes off like a greasy huckster, trying to weasel out of the truth.

I’d say that Medved is less than upfront with his listeners.

He shares some of the values of his old pals on the Left. He doesn’t emphasize that but he does mention it in passing on occasion.

By comparison he loathes some of the old Right conservatives and isn’t shy about it. The common theme I notice is his hatred for any of them who are even slightly ‘isolationist’.

Maybe he forgets that he had a chance to involve himself in one of America’s hot wars, and he not only chose to be an isolationist, he arguably worked for the other side.

That is a perfect way of putting it, PLUS he volunteered for Eugene McCarthy who many people forget sponsored the Immigration Act of 1965 with Ted Kennedy.

drug addiction is slavery. Not at all surprising that the Democrats want in on that action.

Legalizing marijuana just means that kids will have greater access to it.

So, using that logic, I guess alcohol and tobacco should be banned, too?

You know, so kid's don't "have greater access to it".

You see, this is the reason that we have laws in America which distinguish between children and mature adults.

The Prohibitionist mind is not the American mind. It's something authoritarian, and lesser...

McCarthy deeply regretted that vote latter in life, not that that absolves him of his complicity. McCarthy wrote a book: “A colony of the World”. expressing his disgust about the 1965 immigration act.

Can you expand on your perception that he shares values with his old pals on the left? I would appreciate you giving an example or two if you can. I do believe there is some sort of a red diaper baby hangover with him.

I know we can’t ban alcohol and tobacco, but that doesn’t mean we should just declare everything legal because of it. The logic I am using is this: we should discourage as much as possible the use of recreational mind altering drugs. That doesn’t necessarily mean banning them, but it can. One of the signs of a society’s moral decay is the increased use of drugs.
