Last night hundreds of protesters at University of California in Berkeley smashed windows, set fires and clashed with police as they forced the controversial "alt-right" speaker and Breitbart News editor, Milo Yiannopoulos, to cancel his appearance at the liberal-leaning institution (we covered the madness here: "Trump Threatens To Pull U.C. Berkeley Funds After Violent Protesters Cancel Yiannopoulos Speech").
In response to the demonstrations, this morning Kellyanne Conway took to Fox News to blast the mainstream media for "emboldening" protesters by implicitly supporting their violent and destructive actions. Per The Hill:
Whats going on out there is whats going on all across the country, Conway, a key aide to President Trump, said on Fox Newss Fox & Friends Thursday.
You have protesters who feel very emboldened, added Conway, who served as Trumps 2016 presidential campaign manager. "Theyve got media cameras following them, they give interviews.
I dont even know if they know what theyre protesting. Really, what is it, the free speech? Having someone on your campus who has a dissenting point of view or wants to present an alternative point of view?
Conway said students lashing out at Yiannopoulos, who is a popular figure with the alt-right, are in for a rude awakening upon graduation.
In the real world, when these kids grow up and try to find jobs which they will in the Trump economy [theyll see] life doesnt work that way, folks.

Not just “emboldening” but supporting.
Kellyanne rocks! MAGA...
Of course she is right.
NONE of those a-holes need "emboldening." They are life-long protesters and that is what they do. They have NO OTHER LIFE.
They need Jesus. THEY would answer that with "Jesus?" Jesus who? Is he a discriminated-against Spanish speaker? LET'S GO! ¡Vamanos!
Is that what we now call head stuck up their a**?
She is right, just days earlier Obama came out of hiding to support the riots protesting Trump’s tightening of our borders and immigration policies.
These leftists and the media are encouraging the riots.
The media is openly CHEERLEADING for anarchy..because in their liberal minds, ANYONE who is a Conservative is considered an “Extremist” who needs to die
I’m thinking that the word is “encouraging”.
What is “Zero Hedge”?
Yes and by supporting them that emboldens them. And yes she’s correct 100% correct. However this really isnt that strong of an admonishment against these violent thugs. I mean to say that they dont even know what they’re protesting like they’re naive? No they’re not naive and they’re being funded by other people and I wish this administration would stand up and say something against this violence other than blaming the media. Yes the media has a role in this but there are much bigger and sinister people causing these constant attacks and violence.
You can just see the corrupt MSM and the liberal elites just encouraging the unwashed liberal masses into violence.
They themselves won’t get their elitist hands dirty, or risk their own property, but they sure are bravely standing behind the street crowds, holding their coats, and pressing them to “burn the place down”.
Yes I love her however people last night being beat with pipes and had rocks thrown at their heads. Her comment isn’t exactly a strong admonition against the filth. Saying stuff like “ well one day when they get in the real world they’ll see.” What kind of what kind of chastising is that?
Just the thing a prospective employer want to see on a resume from a “Student”.
“Graduated from (fill in the “University name)”.
Reply, “Sorry young person, no opening for one with your “qualifications”.
That’s sort of called a “RED FLAG”.
They were not protestors, they were rioters.
