President Donald Trump reunited with First Lady Melania Trump on Friday afternoon for his first weekend getaway from the White House after a whirlwind week which left Washington – and the world – reeling.
'I told you I'd win that election,' he told a crowd that welcomed him in Palm Beach after a flight aboard Air Force One.
The first lady gave him a kiss at the bottom of the stairs he used to exit the presidential aircraft after the flight from outside Washington.
Traveling with the president aboard Air Force One was Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, who chairs a panel of business CEOs for the president.
The first lady has had no public appearances since the inauguration. She has been at the couple's Trump Tower home in New York while their 10-year-old son Barron attends school.
The first couple will be attending the white tie Red Cross ball held at Mar-a-Lago, Trump's 'winter White House,' the Palm Beach Daily News reported. The event is considered a highlight of the Palm Beach social season.

I guess it’s tradition for the First Lady to greet her husband at the airport. That’s fine, if she wishes to.
I have absolutely no problem with Melania staying in New York with her son while Donald works in Washington. I’m a grown up. I don’t need a lot of stilted theater showing a happy, happy couple skipping up the steps to the White House. If they are fine with living apart, I am too. We are talking about a 70 y/o man who is very wealthy and doesn’t need to do any of this.
Melania may not be a ‘people person’ as much as Donald. Almost no one is. The First Lady will create her own way of coping with all the attention.
Stage fright is not out of the question, when you know at least 45% of Americans are quick to declare how much they hate both you and your spouse. Not everyone can block all the negativity and fully function in public.
For those who don't live here in D.C. it is a wonder to behold. Folks don't know which way is up anymore. They don't get it that it is like after slowly getting pushed backwards after years of trench warfare, the general has ordered that the city be burned and the army move 500 miles southwest to attack on the enemy's flank if we can't push around him entirely.

Those are words from the mouths of the officers who had been fighting the losing battle... indicating they may prefer to remain in their cozy trenches, where they have access to some “luxuries” like the ones they are in need of paying, rather than to follow the General’s new strategy to break the deadlock.

With all the ‘real news’ itching to be reported, this is found to be no more than cotton candy. Of course, it’s good to know our President (Lord, love that term!) arrived safely and his beautiful bride was there to meet him. However, is this the fish bait this publication will feed us for the next 8 years? Where’s the beef - MEAT?

That the Republicans wanted to continued the same old battle of the Potomac which they are slowly losing, and Trump has come along, told them to burn it all down and move the army to fight another battle in a different place on territory they can control for a cause that the people will support.
The dems know what Trump is doing, but the poor confused Republicans can't figure out that Trump moved their cheese.

So refreshing to see a picture of Air Force 1 with a genuine natural-born American president coming away from it.
May the good Lord keep him safe and protect him and bless him with the insight and wisdom to keep this country from going down the tube. I just can’t help the feeling that there was some form of divine intervention as something or someone “OUT THERE” was instrumental to get him elected, probably felt sorry for us ignorant humans to let such a great country fail under a continuing corrupt and outright dumb leadership. Instead providing us with a way out in form of Donald Trump. May he have a long and successful presidency.
I think it’s more than that.
I believe she’s trying to keep him in familiar surroundings amongst people he’s known all his life due to the public abuse the poor boy has been subjected to.
