ABC News ^

James Robart, the federal judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington who temporarily blocked President Trump's immigration order, was praised by a Republican senator in his confirmation hearing for how he represented refugees.

"He brings a wealth of trial experience to the Federal bench after trying in excess of 50 cases to verdict or judgment as sole or lead counsel, and he has been active in the representation of the disadvantaged through his work with Evergreen Legal Services and the independent representation of Southeast Asian refugees," Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah said of Robart at his 2004 confirmation hearing.

Evergreen Legal Services, the business Hatch referred to, is listed among law offices that offer pro bono assistance to clients on LegalHandle.com, a website that catalogs attorneys who provide legal aid to low income people.

Robard is a libtard who masqueraded as a RINO to advance his career. Bush era RINOs fell for it. Now he has really mucked things up, let’s hope only temporarily.

Bush appointments to the District Courts were mostly a disaster. Patronage mostly.

Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah

Who also voted for Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty bill.
He is up in 2018 and needs to be Cantorized along with his co-conspirators against the citizen and the rule of law, Corker, Heller and Flake.

OK, so we have one judge who stops the ban, and one judge who allows the ban. And, they are BOTH Federal judges. So, WHO overrides who? Who has the authority?

Does anybody know?

Doesn’t this show a pre-existing bias to rule in favor of refugees? Sounds like he should have recused himself - yeah, right.

As fast as Trump works, I am surprised that this was not anticipated and a ‘reversal’ already achieved. They should have known where to go and had the documents virtually prewritten.

Based on Obama’s illegal amnesty, the injunction holds. I think that went up through the 5th Circuit, which is one of the most conservative courts and was upheld on a SCOTUS 4-4 deadlock. This will go up through the 9th Circus, so who knows. It may have to go to SCOTUS, which will hopefully have Gorsuch by then and probably get struck down 5-4 though it would be 8-0 with Darth Bader refusing herself since her political hackery during the election.

Obviously the judge who struck down the EO overrides the one who did not.

However, having judges arrive at opposing opinions on the same data illustrates the problem that these judges apply whatever standard they want to themselves, and that is too much power to give to a person.

Ripe for abuse as has just been demonstrated.

At some point Congress must start holding these activist judges accountable, or they are going to continue to lose authority to them. At what point does a judge decide he has the authority to tell Congress to stop debate on a bill that a minority of the population disapproves of?

Great pic, Procon, thanks.

I’ll never forget ole “Harriet Myers” Bush who told us over and over Islam was a religion of peace.

The Bush Crime Family (for any who may still be unaware, read the book) has inflicted so much damage to our Republic for decades. Those running against them would have been just as bad, and worse.

The Uniparty had control of the election process for many decades until God decided otherwise.

Evil never rests. I hope we stay vigilant in our continued prayers for our President.

This judge should be forced to watch beheading videos. Then he might get a clue.

If any capital crimes are committed by immigrants entering under this order, the blood will be on this judge’s hands.

Trump needs to announce that he’ll no longer be listening to what judges have to say. The judiciary has no Constitutional authority over the way the president runs the Executive Branch.

http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/on-trial-why-trumps-immigration-ban-will-win-over-seattle-judges-nationwide-stay/

Immigration law includes a “delicate policy judgment” courts must not invade, as the Supreme Court itself said, and the Boston judge reiterated. Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982). As the Ninth Circuit reiterated, “we defer to the political branches in the immigration field.” Ruiz-Diaz v. United States, 703 F.3d 483 (9th Cir. 2012).
