In 2015, after a prolonged battle in the courts and the national media, the Confederate Battle Flag was lowered for the last time at a monument on state property in Columbia, South Carolina. At the time it was hailed as a glorious victory for the SJW and a very sad day for many southerners. Now, less than two years later a different version of the flag is back up again, but at a different location. (US News & World Report)

Despite never having historically represented the Confederate States of America as a country, nor officially recognized as one of its national flags, the rectangular Second Confederate Navy Jack and the Battle Flag of Northern Virginia are now flag types commonly referred to as the Confederate Flag. They both have become a widely recognized symbol of the Southern United States.[39] It is also known as the rebel flag, Dixie flag, and Southern cross[40] and is often incorrectly referred to as the Stars and Bars.[41] The actual "Stars and Bars" is the first national flag, which used an entirely different design. The self-declared Confederate exclave of Town Line, New York, lacking a genuine Confederate flag, flew a version of this flag prior to its 1946 vote to ceremonially rejoin the Union.[42]

Any reaction yet from the former governor “Nikki” Haley? At least Trump got her out of the governor’s office.
I am glad to hear they bucked up and put it back.
Democrats put the flag up. Republicans took it down. Nikkii Haley has been rewarded heftily by Trump for doing it.
Democrats put it up and Democrats are using what they did, ostensibly in it’s name, to take away our freedoms.
Nothing wrong with Lynyrd Skynyrd using it.
But it was Democrats who put it up publically or politically and it is this same Democrat Party using their immoral actions, past and present, to impose their mini-totalitarian programs.
It has to be the greatest scam of all history.
Trump gave her a huge reward.
spoken like a true ignoramus.
Good reply.
Nikki Haley was a loud NeverTrumper. Giving her the UN slot made strong Trump ally Henry McMaster the SC Governor.
Dwight Eisenhower displayed portraits of Lee and Jackson in his Presidential office. The flag went up in South Carolina during the Centennial of the Civil War, when only the hard left was spouting hatred for southern history. Their SJW spawn championed pulling the flag down, and they found an opportunistic half-wit Republican willing to do it in Nikki Haley.
And sales of battle flags went berserk.
For two months, you couldn’t *find* one, anywhere.
All sold out.
There’s more flying around here than there ever was.
Ha.
I see nothing wrong with taking it down in SC, nor anything wrong in keeping it up.
Haley did it for exactly the wrong reasons in response to irrational leftist hysteria.
I thought it would harm her politically, but if seems the opposite has happened.

Historical fact is Democrats put them up in the 50’s/60’s and Democrats 50 years later are scoring political points for demanding they be taken down as vestiges of racism.
It’s quite a scam. A con.
It’s proving hard to suppress a symbol of defiance by trying to ban it. Imagine that.
“I see nothing wrong with taking it down in SC”
because it’s not your history. Had the Brits won Tories would have felt the same about the Stars and Stripes.
I also said I see nothing wrong with keeping it up.
Who’s history are you claiming it is?
