Well I have supported Trump since before he even announced his candidacy.
I have supported him strongly.
I know a lot of people here at this website say “dump Obamacare”.
But we had not fixed healthcare previously. That is why Obamacare came to be, because we had done NOTHING about the millions of Americans our healthcare system had left out, and did not allow those people to have covered care.
Our healthcare system has become insanely priced. Everyone needs coverage. Everyone.
I believe Obamacare needs to be replaced. I strongly believe that. We cannot simply discard it, because what we had before was completely unacceptable.
We need to cover the people, who Obamacare covered.
Sure improve the system. But cover everyone.
> But we had not fixed healthcare previously
BS. What hasn’t been “fixed” is government programs. Government IS the problem.
Cover everyone? How about telling people that, if they don’t have health insurance, it’s a problem, but it’s your problem? Why make me pay? Get a good job and you will have health insurance. If you are not valuable enough in the marketplace to earn good wages and benefits, then it’s up to you to increase your value. I’m sick and tired of footing the bill for lazy slackers.
Wait, my insurance went from ok to unacceptable.
It’s horrible now, horrible.
I want to go back to what was taken from me before this shit was forced down my family’s throat.
0bamacare takes from me and gives it to the others who you want to cover. Cover them all you want but leave me the hell out of it. If I want to help pay I will but I damn sure do not appreciate being forced to pay.
So I would absolutely support going back to what we had.
Covering everyone with insurance means 50% of the population will be subsided heavily. I don’t think it can be a “one size fits all” proposition. We can improve clinics that emphasize preventative medicine and basic care and then give block grant to hospitals for the indigent.
The problem is a real free market solution would crash the medical industry for a year or two - patent reform, re-importation of drugs and medical equipment, pricing transparency, enforcing the sherman anti-trust laws, etc. The medical industry will fight those tooth and nail but that is what has to happen if you want to provide healthcare for everyone.
YOU cover them, it is not Fed Govs job.
Insurance and healthcare are a service, it needs paid for BY THE USER.
