If I recall correctly, 84 Lumber got state funding to help avoid going out of business a few years ago. Hope that’s far behind them now. It’s an American company that employs a lot of people.
For 84’s commercial customer base, perhaps keeping cheap illegal labor resonates with them. The ad succeeded in drawing attention to the brand, but for me personally - disappointed that they chose this route to do so.
