The article is obviously slanted in support of keeping the kids in the (failing Buffalo Schools) system.
The people I know who have home schooled their kids all said it was more work than they ever envisioned.
Just the same, as you say this woman may very well have been that committed. And the school district decided to make an example of her as a warning to others who may desire to do the same. The district not completing the paperwork reeks of revenge.
Irrelevant my reasons or beliefs when I want to homeschool my children. Not up to you, mind your own business.
We all have a right to teach our children what we believe.
But, that doesn’t mean other people will be sympathetic, if that particular belief is something we strongly disagree with.
I don’t care if you are sympathetic or not. But do not use the bully government to enforce your definition of a belief system. And that is what happened with the German family.
But you better be consistent in defending liberty, freedom.
Did anyone (besides me) listen to the whole video? To the very end?
ping
Home school or slavery...Home school is freedom...gov schools are slavery...
I listened to the whole video.
For anyone who didn’t, she made a number of appeals to her family and Facebook followers for help, mainly for moral support and also for legal help, including for the costs of that legal help.
Then she concludes the appeal by saying something about how they all know the white man is the devil and the black man is God.
In all honesty, I believe I see things all the time here just as bad about black people from people who haven’t just had their children taken away by a system predominantly run by black people. Isn’t the general expectation that black people should just ignore any horrible comments targeting them for their race and not be so “sensitive”?
And I’ll also add that in the past I’ve worked a great deal on cases such as Zimmerman-Martin and Ahmed Mohamed to try to bring out the truth, in which the left and its media have largely succeeded in substituting their narratives for the actual facts in the case. I spent months on the Trayvon Martin case, going through all the evidence released. The left nearly brought about a race war, and did some damage to relations between black and white people in this country through it, all for the sake of locking up Democratic votes and turning the country totalitarian however they can.
So that all said, from what I’ve learned about this case so far, unless something truly damaging surfaces against this mother, then at this point it does look like she’s been treated truly unjustly, if there is nothing more than the charges she clearly laid out and refuted. And until that one comment at the end, didn’t she seem like a reasonable person to you? Growing up in liberal, atheistic NYS myself, I know even as a white person all you pretty much hear is their propaganda. I’m sure she’s liberal and may very well post black lives matter material but that doesn’t mean that her rights shouldn’t be protected if she hasn’t done anything wrong. Destroying your political opponents, even when they’re a little guy, is the philosophy of the left it is using to try to establish a dictatorship.
Given that her long statement was mostly about a systematic look at her case, and not railing about white people, it seems to me like the last comment was mostly about the situation she is in now with her children, and being arrested and facing criminal charges when she never had been in such a situation, and the most logical explanation to her at this point is truly that she bucked the white system, and she is not merely being inconvenienced, but that system is trying to destroy her and her children in response.
I truly also believe, and I say this from my Christian faith, that we have to be focused on the future, and on planting seeds and harvesting as we can. If she has been severely wronged, her children wrongfully removed from her, false charges laid against her (of moving too frequently even though she says she didn’t, and criticizing school officials), then we have every moral obligation to defend her.
***Facebook is evil. Do not use it. It WILL be used against you.***
FB postings will only be used against you when you go against the left’s agenda. If you are on the left, and use FB as your bully pulpit, then you are protected.
This poor woman needs our prayers. 10 minute video of her talking... very civil for someone who has secrets to tell about the local TERROR operation that has been orchestrated against her. Very, very civil woman. She attributes this TERROR to race, only because she doesn’t understand evil, corruption, leftism, government contracts, etc.
It’s her defense mechanism.
Hope a FR lawyer knows a lawyer up there who can help.
It’s about freedom.
