The main reason that constitutionally low-information people like Ivy League-indoctrinated, state sovereignty clueless Ginsburg are concerned about the electoral college is the following imo.
As menioned in related threads, people like Ginsburg probably want to centralize and control state powers that the corrupt feds have stolen from the states, along with likewise controlling state revenues uniquely associated with those powers, the feds effectively stealing state revenues by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
