UC Berkeley police are investigating the theft of names and emails of people interested in joining the Berkeley College Republicans, the student group whose invitation to Milo Yiannopoulos of Breitbart News prompted a night of student protests and anarchist mayhem last week.
The Republicans had their usual table set up on Sproul Plaza at noon on Feb. 2, the day after the forced cancellation of the Yiannopoulos talk, when someone approached and took the signup sheet, said Sgt. Sabrina Reich, spokeswoman for the campus police, who received a formal complaint about it on Saturday.
Although members of the Republican group recovered the signup sheet, “the individual took a photo of the list and fled the area,” Reich said.
Later, people on the list received “harassing emails” asking about their attendance at the Yiannopoulos event and warning of “negative repercussions,” such as making their names and addresses public, Reich said.
Meanwhile, a blogger who opposes Yiannopoulos and the student Republicans has posted the list on the Web. The Chronicle is not linking to the blog post because the students identified on the list haven’t agreed to make their names and emails public.

I’m afraid we may already be past using nice legal remedies for these attacks. Legal remedies may already be unavailable due to the lawless nature of progressive courts. Certainly the Left has moved beyond nice, civilized legal remedies. They are starting to arm and train and organize because so far they’ve found us soft and unorganized. That perception emboldens them and encourages further lawless and violent behavior.
They are making the same deadly error as nearly every enemy of this nation since its founding. They mistake kindness and a desire for peace for weakness. Only when we are provoked to full fury will they realize their error but by then it will be too late. If this current cycle is not broken it will escalate to major violence, attack and retribution, somewhere between a civil war and The Troubles. I have little doubt they will lose but the cost will be frightful.
The filthy democrat scum politicians are at best silent, and at worst instigating the violent Left. It serves their purposes for now. They think they can control this Frankenstein monster. Of course, they cannot. But when the bill comes due we always remember that democrat legislators started it, nurtured it, fanned the flames and we should seek... accountability.
Your faith in the California justice system is quaint. However what makes you think that they would lift a finger? In multiple incidents we have witnessed the police in California stand by and idly observe as Trump supporters and conservatives were stalked, vandalized, egged, pepper sprayed and beaten unconscious.
As a retired LEO I must say I and appalled and dismayed but these people bear no resemblance to the agencies or people with whom I’ve worked. It’s a different animal on the left coast, infested with PC idiocy. The inept fictional San Angeles PD in the movie Demolition Man was supposed to be a parody but now it looks like a documentary.

The police, like the other professions, have undergone political correctness training. Their hands are tied for fear of hurting the wrong person’s feelings.
I heard that Kamala was born in India, but it must be her mother Shyamala G. Harris who was from India, not the daughter. Sorry about the poor data. Kamala’s belief system has always seemed so PC and anti-Nationalist, that it was very easy for me to presume she started out as a non-citizen. She also refused to enforce out Death Penalty, which is still part of state law for certain crimes. Gov. Brown was fine with that.
