Trump is confronting a mammoth task. Conservatives should understand that a very large segment of the population no longer shares a reasonable social consensus or values with perhaps a bare majority of the people. They have devolved into a neo pagan culture of decadence. Widespread drug use, pornography, open homosexuality and its permutations, hedonism, celebrity and earth worship complete with individual and mass rituals are now the values accepted by many Americans. Sadly the crass epicureans now control much of the media, academia, some ostensibly religious institutions the Democratic Party and even business. At this junction Trump stands as a direct threat. Make no mistake they will oppose him violently. Trump will have a very difficult task. Harder than Reagan.
