As per “dutchsinse” the earthquake predicting channel on youtube, if you check the googleearth height above sea level, the dam top is at 900 ft, and the stream at the bottom is at 200 feet, for a drop of 700 feet. The river then further drops to either 28 or 20 feet above sea level at Sacramento. (I can’t remember, but you can check googleearth.)

Yes, SacBee (S for you know what), the fact is that (I remember seeing/reading them) until a very few days ago the nation was getting the equivalent of “move along, nothing to see here” from California officials and other state venues (maybe like you?).
The time to prevent the disaster was months/years ago when funds were allocated and work left undone because money was needed elsewhere for other things like illegals and high speed trains.
