The problem with this one isn't so much the cost as the time. There is no way to fix the spillways before the water rises again, and this looks like the kind of year that will have massive, warm storms until June. There isn't enough money in the world to fix the problem.

But you're right - Trump should go himself, without notifying Brown. Since Brown hasn't even wanted to discuss the problem, he might as well be left out of the solution, too.

Steel plating could be temporarily fastened over the giant pothole in the spillway. It would at least mitigate erosion.
