Might be a small part of it, but the Flynn thing is not the kind of thing that makes people willing to take a high profile high stress position. Just the mere perception (true or not) that Trump didn’t steadfastly back Flynn is going to potentially be a problem.

I was referring to the 28 yr old (false, since retracted) abuse allegation from his ex-wife. That is a totally separate issue from the recent (true) problem that he employed an illegal for 3 yrs. Both contributed to sinking his nomination, but they are quite different issues.
That was Linda Chavez, another Labor nominee, another amnesty advocate.
The MSM and the ‘rats have worked to maximize the personal “cost” to Trump nominees even if they might be confirmed. I read the other day that a top candidate who was being vetted for Solicitor General, a close friend of Sessions, withdrew his name because he does not want to put himself, family, and friends through the fires of the confirmation process. There is a real cost to what the MSM and ‘rat scumbags are doing to the nomination process.

Right now Trump needs to aim some ammo straight at the media. Remove, divert ALL federal funding from these organizations. You realize that these firms will in many cases be broke by 4th of July if he does that?
I hope he doesn’t. I know nothing about him, but I know the left. The more successes they have in smearing the members of the Trump Administration, current and potential, the more material they have to go after Trump himself - all on flimsy issues like this one.
The GOP needs to learn to behave more like the left. Barny BJ Franks did not back down after his affairs with Congressional Pages. Clinton did not resign after being exposed as a rapist and serial sexual predator. A number of Congressmen are sill sitting in office after income tax evasion. Ted the Swimmer Kennedy became a leading light of the “feminist” Democrat Party.
If you give up hills that aren’t worth fighting for, eventually you wind up with no hills left at all.
The GOP should surprise everyone, GROW A SET, refuse to back down to the barking dogs in the leftist media and action groups, GET USED TO THE SOUND OF THEIR YAPPING, IGNORE THEM, and PLOW ON TO IMPLEMENT THE AGENDA WHICH GOT TRUMP ELECTED.
