The Media Is Already Linking Oroville Dam Disaster To Global Warming
Daily Caller ^ | February 15, 2017 | Michael Bastasch

A number of news outlets claim the near collapse of the Oroville dam's emergency spillway in California is a glimpse of what man-made global warming could bring.

"Oroville Is a Warning for California Dams, as Climate Change Adds Stress," the New York Times reported. "Broken California Dam Is a Sign of Emergencies to Come," reads an article published in Scientific American, adding that "[c]limate change is leading to more extreme rainfalls that can overwhelm infrastructure."

All that global warming caused the Libtards to waste money on things like illegals and Moonbeam's Choo Choo rather than fix that dam!

I was under the impression that Trump and the Republicans were responsible.

WTF !?!

liberals choose to spend their money on illegals and bullet trains to nowhere instead of maintaining their dams.. and when they eventually fail due to neglect .. it’s “global warmings” fault?

WHAT!!?!?!?

I thought the DROUGHT was global warmings fault? now they are saying the END of the drought of global warmings fault?

I HATE THESE MORONS!!!!!!!

Look at ten year cycles. California has big spikes in the rainfall and the several years of minimal precipitation.

Nothing new here.

I can’t believe that I actually subscribed to “Scientific American” while I was in High School and College. Now, it’s nothing but a liberal rag.

You are exactly right.

But...

School kids are being brainwashed into believing differently.

That’s the beauty of the AGW cult religion. Whatever happens, its all punishment by the angry goddess Mother Gaia for our wicked capitalist ways.

They could have properly repaired the 2013 damage to the main spillway. It would have cost maybe 50K.

And they could have armoured the emergency spillway back in 2005.

Did Global Warming make them such dreadful managers?

And why were they running 40% over legal retention levels in the first place? Were they trying to extort a higher rate from water users by extending drought conditions?

How much was spent on the choo choo alone? How many more reservoirs could that have built AND fixed existing problems?

Liberals and their trains......

Infrastructure built in the mid-20th Century cannot last forever. Liberals ignore these items in favor of the welfare state, their urban constituents, and environmentalism. Additionally, the affected area is a red zone in an extremely blue state. The Republicans have had no power in California since Pete Wilson left office. Therefore, this area suffered from not-so-benign neglect.

California received $34 billion from the 2009 Obama stimulus package and spent exactly $0 on the Oroville Dam.

You and your lifestyle are responsible for Global Warming/Climate Change.

Global warming was at fault when Oroville Lake was empty (google that). It was empty and never going to fill in our lifetimes. Now GW is at fault because it is full. It caused the Kalis to ignore maintenance on the dam.

It is the all purpose excuse. And the solution is always socialism.

Bad maintenance and engineering has nothing to do with global warming and everything to do with dems.

Get rid of the Federal and State Departments of Education.

Let the locals run the schools.

Do you remember the people marching up and down the streets of our major cities with the signs and placards saying "The End is Near?"

Are these news outlets essentially replacing the people in the street with such signs?

Aren’t people embarrassed to talk about “climate change” yet? Isn’t this like people attempting to show their gravitas by having a super serious discussion about the size of the tooth fairy?

Last Year Jerry Brown told Californians and the World that Man Made Global Warming has caused a PERMANENT DROUGHT in this State. I guess his God Lied to Him.
