I wouldn’t put him in the cast of characters like Terry McLunatic and mayo-head ... Dean is a brilliant man ... The “Dean Scream” may have done him in, but I think the media pushed that to get the establishment pick of John Kerry on the Dem’s ticket in 2004. He is far from unhinged.
Under Dean’s leadership, the Dems won big in 2006 and even bigger in 2008. After the ascension of their boy-God Obama, it’s been all downhill for the Dems (despite 2012) ... that downhill trend started shortly after Dean left (I think the neighborhood-child-molesting-looking freak was appointed next ... probably for grooming ... Kaine wound up on the Dem’s ticket in 2016 as we witnessed).
Elison’s appointment will be a gift. They need a tactician in that office, not a rabble rouser ... they’re only going to get funnier in that they won’t be gaining any power while he’s calling the shots.
