It's actually quite perverse how they try to portray lawyers as being some sort of vanguard of freedom. As a profession, and class of individuals, lawyers are the scum of the planet. Peel back any social ill like an onion and eventually you'll find a lawyer at the center... fighting to spare the murderer, fighting to get the fetus vacuumed up, fighting to take away your ability to defend yourself. Absolute scum.

Immigration law is like criminal law. If you don’t get your fee up-front, you aren’t going to be able to collect it later. So if your client gets arrested at the courthouse, the money should be in the bank already.
