Two college football players who were suspended from their team last year and saw their scholarships revoked after rape accusations have been cleared by police after authorities say their accuser recanted her story.
Nikki Yovino, 18, of South Setauket, NY, has been charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence in connection to an incident at a Sacred Heart University football party in October, the Connecticut Post reports.
When pressed about inconsistencies in her original statement, Yovino admitted that she made up the rape allegations against the two football players in hopes of gaining sympathy from another man — a prospective boyfriend, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

I hope the two football players got their scholarships and reputations back, but somehow I doubt it.
After all, we know that all men are pigs, and they would probably do the rape if they had the chance. /s
False allegations that damage people’s lives need similarly damaging consequences.

This chick, on the upper side of the Hot/Crazy curve is a psychology and pre-med student?
She may be able to make the grades but is definitely too stupid to be allowed to have a license.
Hopefully a felony conviction will keep her from being licensed.

There should be a law aginst falsely accusing someone, with actual jail time as punishment.
It has been shown that women will lie about rape; the usual reason is that she has been screwing around and doesn’t want her husband, father or boyfriend to know about it so she accuses some poor guy she barely knows or doesn’t know of rape.
Upwards of sixty percent of rape allegations are found to be false.
That being said, this stupid slut should go to jail.
