Negative. GA is a one party consent state.

Now, I can see how legal action might result in him having to ID his source, to verify that one person involved in the recording was aware of it happening.

Even if this is somehow illegal, keep in mind that revolutions are illegal. It will take such actions to defeat such an ensconced, wicked foe.
