And yet most attending CPAC will be fighting Trump and his cabinet.
Trump has turned out to be the most conservative president in our nation’s history. Much more so than Reagan.
Was not the “never Trumper” theme is that he is not a true Conservative? These never Trumpers look more foolish as every day goes by.
..and I LOVE IT !!
Fill all the slots with conservatives?...YES BABY!!!
There's another aspect to this. The maniacs have overstepped. Now it's not just their antics with the confirmation hearings. They're organizing with the goal of making it impossible for Republicans to speak to their constituents.
I watched Ted Cruz speaking at CPAC this AM. He was ON FIRE....clever, articulate, intelligent, totally loyal. I'm hoping this is a trend. Nothing but complete unity behind the Trump agenda will save the nation. It is beginning to seem more cohesive, so maybe even the fake Republicans understand they need to be cohesive or the nation could go up in flames this summer. (I don't think that's an exaggeration. The other side is bat-ass crazy)
Or he's really a Dimmicrat!!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
The “country club” Republicans better start caring more for the “country” and a lot less for the “club”.
This is why the “Never Trump” crowd has switched to carping about the “chaos” in the administration and the “horrible” rollout of the first illegal immigration executive order. They have nothing on substance to whine about. But they still want to whine. So they focus on alleged incompetence and chaos in Trumps first 30 days.
Agreed -I believe he will eclipse Reagan as the conservative standard - ironic....
Just WOW!
“Trump has turned out to be the most conservative president in our nations history. Much more so than Reagan.”
Congrats on the stupidity of comparing a presidency 30+days in to one of eight years in strikingly different times. Not to mention that Reagan put in place most of the tenants that Trump is promoting after a 40yr career of being a true Conservative.
We all want Trump to succeed. No need to tear down the greatest president of the modern era to promote the cause.
Thus my screen name.
I heard Rush express that opinion this morning too. YES!
Why don’t you read the article. Trump’s cabinet has a conservative rating of 91 per cent - 28 points higher than what Reagan’s cabinet scored. Therefore, Trump’s Administration is significantly more conservative than that of Reagan’s.
Sorry friend, appointing definitional Conservatives DOES NOT make Trump more conservative than Reagan. You said Trump the president, ergo the man, was more conservative than Reagan, not just his cabinet.
Then some clown later on clarified your mis-statement by saying Trump will go down in history as more conservative than Reagan. After 30 freaking days some here are willing to dismiss Reagan and all he has done for the movement, the country and the world for a few executive actions. Sad and unreal at the same time.
Reagan embodies the Conservative movement because Reagan WAS the movement. Trump is a populist with conservative leanings......which by the way works right now and is just what we need. So I say push ahead.
Dispense with the comparisons to Reagan. No matter what he does, Trump will never be Reagan because Trump is not anything like Reagan.
I'm not saying anything bad about Reagan. Only that Trump is so far more conservative than Reagan with regard to his cabinet and his policies. Granted we must see how the next eight years plays out for the final verdict. But there is no doubt whatsoever that Trump has done more for conservatism in the first 30 days than Reagan did in his first 30 days.
Also, I am incredibly impressed with his very conservative vice president of Mike Pence. Can't say the same for George HW Bush who promptly undid the Reagan legacy and set the stage for the Clintons to take power, who Trump finally did away with once and for all.
Of course, Reagan had to deal with a Democrat controlled Congress so saying that Trump has gotten more done is not a slam against Reagan. Also, I'm not terribly impressed with the current GOP congress and senate. Many of them appear weak with no backbone. Hopefully Trump whips them into shape and shows them how to win.
Trump has both houses in Republican control and thus is poised to take conservatism much further than Reagan ever did. Let's hope that that turns out to be the case over the next 8 years.
You are applying moral equivalency to two different leaders at two different times in country's history and then choosing a winner. The winner who has yet to offer one piece of tangible legislation.
Enjoy your bubble friend. Trump is the best ever. Most conservative, most popular, best 30 days. Whatever.
You are living in the past. That’s kind of sad. It’s time to seize the moment now that we finally have the best president since Reagan.
