I agree. The real war heroes during the Vietnam War were those POWs in Hanoi Hilton that died not selling out the USA. A war hero McCain is not. There are many people who serve in the military. They leave with Honorable discharges, other than honorable discharges and dishonorable discharges. Then there are some who leave in a casket. McCain put his life over everyone else’s life, country and God. This makes him less than a Hero - a coward. Many braver men died in Hanoi Hilton than McCain.
I am confused. Wasn’t McCain offered release by the North Vietnamese if he would make a certain statement, and did he not decline the offer?
