That's always the risk with the opposing party's response, I guess. Plus, Trump trolls them so well that his speech was nothing like they were anticipating and preparing for...and so the Dims were left looking like even bigger morons than usual (who knew that was possible?!). This is undoubtedly why they had some old unemployed coot give the response; to let him take the heat if it totally flopped (which it did). He doesn't have any consituents to worry about.

What you say is indeed true. But it doesn’t matter. They just want their slop covered by the MSM and are targeting the low info voters and they DO get influenced by what they hear in the MSM. Truth be damned.
